In June, I met Safi during the International Marketplace venue at the West End Shops in St. Louis Park, MN. Her booth was just across from mine, and I couldn’t help but be drawn in. I watched as she patiently created a stunning henna design, each detail carefully placed with calm confidence. Naturally, I had to go over and ask all the questions.
She explained that her materials are all plant-based and shared the difference between traditional henna and jagua stains (I learned so much!). After the event, we followed each other on Instagram… and that’s when I realized just how much she offers.
Safi doesn’t just create beautiful henna body art—she also braids, teaches classes on the Art of Henna, and sells her own products. But what truly touched me was learning that she donates her time and materials to create free Henna Crowns for people experiencing hair loss.
