April 25 Kiernon James Playwriter

Kiernon James Mystery Playwrite

I am so blessed to have so many creative people in my life and I’m excited to promote my talented friend’s plays.

One of those people is Jamey—also known professionally as Kiernon James. We worked together years ago and quickly became good friends. Since then, he’s taken the leap into playwriting (and yes, that absolutely deserves applause).

Kiernon is a mystery playwright who specializes in smart, entertaining stories that keep audiences guessing until the very end. With a background in both film and stage, he brings a cinematic quality to live theater—layering visual clues and subtle moments that unfold right in front of you… sometimes without you realizing it until later. His passion is developing new works that tell the story both verbally and visually, creating an experience that’s engaging for audiences of all ages.

I had the chance to attend a reading of his play It Wasn’t Murder, and I was laughing out loud—and there wasn’t even a set yet. That’s when you know the writing stands on its own. I also saw the full production of Finding J. Mitchell, which was just as compelling. Let’s just say… I did not solve the mystery in either one. (Apparently I’m a great audience member, not a detective.)

If you’d like to meet his unforgettable characters and stay updated on future productions, you can follow Kiernon James on Facebook or visit his website at kiernonjames.com.

Trust me—you’ll be glad you did.
