Heart Energy
The heart’s energy radiates love, healing, and connection.
~ The Little Prince
When I began studying the powerful energy stored in—and released from—the heart, I felt a deep pull to create something that reflected its wisdom and strength.
We often talk about “gut feelings” or “following our heart,” and it’s no coincidence. Our bodies hold three major centers of intelligence: the gut, the heart, and the brain. While we typically think of the brain as the control center, the heart actually sends signals to the brain—and remarkably, the brain listens. According to Science of the Heart, the heart’s messages carry real influence over how we think, feel, and respond.
The heart is also home to the fourth energy center, the Anahata chakra, which in Sanskrit means “unhurt, unstruck, and unbeaten.” It sits in the center of the chest and is the seat of love, compassion, forgiveness, and emotional well-being. Its color is traditionally green, though I’ve always felt soft pink speaks to its tenderness, too.
As I read through studies from the HeartMath Institute, I was in awe how science supports what I’m studying in the energy field. Did you know: the heart generates the largest electromagnetic field of any organ in the body? It’s 60 times stronger than the brain’s electrical signals and over 100 times more powerful magnetically. This field radiates several feet beyond us. It’s no wonder we can “feel” someone’s presence before they even speak.
Here’s a fun fact: your heart produces enough energy each day to drive a truck for 20 miles. Incredible, right?
The colors in this painting were inspired by a stunning sunset I saw while visiting my grandparents—a moment that now holds even more meaning. Not long after finishing the piece, my grandmother passed away.
Gram was love in human form. If you gave her a compliment, she’d smile and say, “Well, bless your heart,” in a way that made you feel like the most special person in the world. It wasn’t just her words—it was the warmth behind them that wrapped around you like a hug.
At my wedding, her advice to my husband and me was simple and profound: “Always think of the other one first, and you’ll have a long and happy marriage.” And that’s how she lived—always giving, always loving.
This painting is for her—and for all of us. A reminder that our hearts hold extraordinary power. To love, to heal, to connect.
Let it remind you that your heart matters. That your energy radiates. That love shared, and love received, is never lost.
The heart has its reasons which reason knows nothing of.
Blaise Pascal
